LoveAmerica.com
Our Team.
With all the noise on during this election, we've become selective about which voices we want to listen to. Who is the support team for loveamerica.com? We all live in the same neighborhood and have worked for various campaigns individually, and worked on local land use and preservation projects together. We have pets and kids, hobbies and dreams of a more perfect Union.

Dave Adams - Founder
Dave Adams is a retired mechanic, native Oregonian, and baby boomer who was born in Klamath Falls, 1953. He spent most of his formative years in Eugene, Oregon when agriculture and timber still drove the economy. Logging, truck driving, sawmills, planing mills, plywood mills, farming, field work, and food processing plants provided good jobs and a union-driven, living wage for the families there. It was a boom time for the country and so the Army Core of Engineers were busy building roads, bridges, and a vast network of dams throughout the region. Dave’s father was an Eagle Scout and a naval combat veteran of WW11. His mother was a homemaker whose parents owned an apple orchard in Cashmere, Washington. Like so many Americans at that time, Adams attended Sunday School at the local church, watched Veterans Day parades, and attended 4th of July picnics at the Elks picnic grounds, which were the highlight of any summer. Adams grew up hunting birds in the Willamette Valley, fishing for trout in the high Cascades, and catching lots of salmon on the coast. He and his family were committed members of The Boy Scouts of America where Adams learned outdoor survival skills, respect for others, how to fold and respect the flag, and of course “to be prepared.” Dave still possesses the National Rifle Association membership card he received in 1966 for passing gun safety class. When he was 15, his family moved to Portland. He graduated from Beaverton high school in 1971 and took a gap year after High School, during which he and his sister operated a bakery in the Kesey brothers health food co-op in Springfield. Later that year, Adams drove to the southern border of Mexico in a 1958 VW camper with his best friend. He returned from that trip with a passion for VW's and enrolled in Mt. Hood Community College foreign car mechanic program. He worked as a line mechanic before starting his own small business called Lake Oswego Restorations that specialized in mid-century European sports cars. During the course of his career he imported, exported and restored numerous award-winning classic sports cars. He operated that business until retiring in 2020.
